The New Museum of Mississippi History will consist of 25,000 square feet of exhibit space that will document the history of Mississippi from 15,000 B.C. to current day events. A mix of state - of - the - art technology along with traditional exhibitry will guide the museum visitor through Mississippi’s territorial development, antebellum cultural and social establishments, the volatile civil rights years, and then on to Mississippi’s role today as a leader in the communication technology industries.
