Design Sketches of the Entrance to the I-Max Cinema

This exhibition was dedicated to nature conservation efforts in Hungary and the world. Our participation in the Expo was the design of elements throughout the site to direct fair goers to the various entertainment activities within the Expo Complex. The design featured a grand performance stage enclosed by a giant globe of the world, the Expo logo, featuring the country of Hungary. Large sheets of metal in the shape of the leaves of a tree wrap the stage and peel off to scatter throughout the site providing shelters from the heat for families touring the Expo.

Other elements designed were an I-Max Cinema, an outdoor sports arena, the Hungarian Pavilion, and 10 meter tall pylons to mark special areas within the fairgrounds.

The elements were built, erected, and dismantled in the month of September 1996.
